Our volunteers are a very valued section of our team working at Mearescourt House. Our head gardener John is here to help with training and support. We offer very varied opportunities and flexible working arrangements, with volunteers being integrated into every aspect of the work at Mearescourt House.

There are about 5 volunteers working here at present and along with the work there are opportunities for socialising, training and attending events.

We are also a member of the WWOOF Organisation http://www.wwoof.ie/ http://www.wwoof.com

WWOOF hosts provide accommodation, food and education in organic faming and living. In return WWOOFers give help to the hosts, mainly as a hands on way of learning from them. The exchange is based on trust. The help you get from your WWOOFers will be wide and variable, and can include: gardening: sowing; making compost; planting; weeding; cutting wood; harvesting; fencing; building; packing; milking; feeding ... the list is endless
